What is multiple myeloma?

Multiple myeloma is a blood cancer of the plasma cells, which is a type of white blood cell found in the bone marrow that produces antibodies. In multiple myeloma, abnormal plasma cells often grow and divide uncontrollably and, over time, crowd out normal blood cells so they are unable to do their job.

BLENREP is a medication used to treat multiple myeloma. It is used when you have tried one or more treatments that were unsuccessful or when the cancer has come back – this is called relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
